PDFManager
LLM-powered PDF management — web + desktop.
The problem it solved
PDF workflows split between a web tool (good for sharing) and a desktop tool (good for power features) — usually meaning two codebases. PDFManager shares the LLM service across both, so the AI behaviour is identical wherever you open a document.
Similar problems it can solve
Any web+desktop document tool that shares an AI core, document-AI add-ons for line-of-business apps, and LLM service patterns reused across surface forms.
A two-surface PDF tool — an ASP.NET Core web app and a WPF desktop client — backed by a dedicated LLMService library that adds AI capabilities (extraction, Q&A, summarisation) on top of routine PDF management. Built for document workflows that need both a browser tab and a Windows-native power tool.
- ASP.NET Core web app + WPF desktop client over the same LLMService
- Dedicated LLMService library — Models + Services — for PDF AI tasks
- Areas-based MVC structure with persistent data layer
Overview
PDFManager wraps PDF management in an LLM service, then offers two interfaces over the same library — a browser-based ASP.NET Core web app and a Windows-native WPF desktop client — so the same AI document workflow runs wherever the user is.
Technology
A three-project .NET solution: a PDFManager ASP.NET Core MVC web (with Areas, Controllers, Data, Models, Views), a PDFMangerApplication WPF desktop client, and a shared LLMService library (Model + Services) that provides the AI surface — extraction, Q&A and summarisation over PDF content.
